Hey all,

I wanted to let you know that New Approach Oregon, the campaign to regulate, legalize, and tax marijuana in Oregon (www.newapproachoregon.com) has just started accepting Bitcoin donations.

We're the first campaign in Oregon to accept Bitcoin, as well as the first legalization campaign to accept it.

Thought there might be some interest in this community about this news! We have a really great chance to legalize this year in Oregon, and I wanted to let you all know that you can help us run a robust campaign up to November by donating via Bitcoin.

I am looking forward to how the community will respond to this, I think that this type of campaign + Bitcoin go together extremely well and I am super excited about the intersection of Bitcoin + Politics in the USA.

Anyway, just wanted to make you all aware!

I am not a pot smoker but I am all for legalization. Unfortunately the media would just use any involvement by bit coiners as another thing to beat us over the head with. That said I hope you guys succeed.
