The 5770 is a good card for the money, overclocked with the right settings it can get you 220+ mhash/s, which is better than some significantly more expensive 68xx cards (or anything nVidia). I assume at this point you have joined a mining pool where you are mining bitcoins. That card will get you about .14 BTC a day (about $0.70 worth) - not bad, since you are making free money with your computer.

Like any currency that has significant value, begging for it (if that's the kind of "tips" you are looking for) is not as productive as actually selling goods for bitcoin or exchanging your old-fashioned money for bitcoins to buy things.

• BitcoinCaptcha.org pays you for solving captchas.
• Bitcoin Faucet 1 needs verification by sending you a cell phone short message containing a code that you must enter on the website. They send some advertising short messages after giving you the bitcoins/cents. I heard of virtual cell phone number providers where you can get free cell phone numbers, so you could keep your privacy.
• Bitcoin Faucet 2 needs verification using your Googlemail account.

Well, I know 99% of those services who ask you to introduce a code will charge you whatever they want because when you introduce the code you are authorizing them to do so.

I had already deleted my reply because when i looked closely at their page I couldn't see the fine print and couldn't be sure about what I was saying(and with no fine print, if they do it they will be banned from the service sooner or later). But I'm a marketer and we use a lot of mobile stuff and like I said, 99% of those that ask you to introduce the code WILL charge you a lot of money and they will do it every month. The code is the way for you to say that you authorize the charge/subscription.

If it was just to send you a bitcent they wouldn't need a confirmation code from your phone.
But try to follow me here, they have absolutely NO information about the cost of the SMS, and that's fishy as hell...

Yes, you can be charged to receive an SMS(or several).

Not going to tell you exactly how, but I earn several tens of thousands of USD every month from those mobile phone subscriptions
The method is the same: You enter your phone number, the service sends you a confirmation code, you get charged at least $9 and will continue to be charged every month on the same ammount. Ofcourse we have the fine print saying all that. And I know some guys who just don't put the fine print as a way to get more visitors to input their phone # and verification code in there, hence my suspicion.

Sorry man, Bitcoins (and all the scams) make me (even more) paranoid (than usual)

There are sites to get "easy" bitcoins. However, you probably won't get much right away.

Another way to get easy btc is to offer goods or services. If you do something well, see if someone will pay you to do it.

 Yeah I posted a thread like this just like you. I didn't know how I could get bitcoins. So I decided to ask members. Turned out " psy " helped me out a lot. He told me about this site.

I am a CoinWorker fan too. I noticed the tasks are offered on some US$-PTC/Bux sites too, but they mostly have a high payout limit of something like 5$ or 10$. In contrast to this, the near-instant payout of CoinWorker is a real upper for me.

I understand your scepticism, especially after hearing about your own business model.
I hope you don't mind me saying that i liked the law makers and courts in my country for restricting subscription companies from profitting from little kids who just got their first cell phones and didn't know better.

For what it's worth, I will get my cell phone invoice tomorrow (I hope) and report back about any charges.

you are right, the whois entry has the name "Domain Manager" and not a real person's name... smells cheesy indeed. why use anon domain?

Damn, are you Portuguese also? Here they disallow those Value Added SMS's and one has to explicitly activate them to be able to subscribe to the services exactly because of what you described.


What made me more suspicious was the fact that there is no "About Us" page in none of their 2 websites and the fact that I've never heard of them on this forum before. One would think that they would get a lot more "customers" advertising in a forum full of bitcoiners if they were really serious.

Disclaimer: I also don't have an about us page on my sites, more because I'm lazy and I don't like to write much than any other reason, but I advertise them openly here and it's very easy to get to me.

No, I'm from germany where you need to have a certain age to be fit to make contracts. If I'm not wrong, the parents can always cancel the subscription and charge back, if the kid who made the subscription is not old enough. I would expect a 16 year old teenager to be able to do such contracts, but not a 10 year old kid. From a capitalistic point of view, this may be unsatisfying, but I think as humans we need to care about each other, especially about the kids.

In germany there are also TV spots advertising cell phone subscription services, but you need a good enough TV to even be able to read the fine print, on a small kitchens TV the fine print would be impossible to read.

but we are wandering far OT now. I just want to say I don't know you and your business, my criticism is not about you, I am just speaking generally. I don't want to suggest anything about you and your business specifically. We need business people in our societies.
