You claim to have been scammed but you give no details.

You've been a member for less than 24 hours, so did this 'scam' occur during your first several hours of being a member or was it before you became a member?

How did you get scammed?

Was it by a member from this forum?

Buying serial numbers that could have been easily skimmed from seller's place of work, shelf surfing the Gamestop before re-shrinkwrapping, or just obtained off a software pirate site? Might as well pirate it yourself, because an email with a serial number is not proof of ownership in any way that matters.

It was the site auto-xchanger.com. I found them on google a week before I found this forum.
I was going to try converting pp into liberty reserve, and then LR into bitcoin, but I talked to someone on that sites chat and they told me it is simply faster just to send paypal payment as a "gift" and they would just send me bitcoin directly.

after they confirmed payment, they told me the bitcoin system is very slow, and that they sent the coins but I must wait for my system to catch up.

I know, should have researched more first, but I was excited to learn about this currency.

Every time I go to the site, they tell ask me how they can help me, i give my info, and then they ignore me.

I'm not very smart about this type of crap, so if someone knows how to get my "gift" back, please let me know.

What you need to do is put your bitcoin address in the search box on http://blockexplorer.com/. That will show your Bitcoin account balance. Indeed you may have been sent money and not have waited for all the transaction blocks to download on your Bitcoin client.

Since you're, in your own words, "not very smart about this type of crap," you could paste your address here to have its balance independently verified.

Still around.

Seriously, if you got scammed we would like to try to help you.  First thing, post here the address you gave the guy.  The address he was supposed to use to send the BTC to you.

Next, do you have any emails or chat logs you can post?

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

I think he means it. Post your address here and we could take a look exactly what happened. Include any information you have on that person or entity so we can see if what can be done.

Yes, I was serious. I've seen recent bitcoin converts misunderstand how blockexplorer works.

Still around.

Just a note the original poster. Don't take it personally that everyone is suspicious of you. It is just that you are not known yet.
