Why CHATCOIN

Frankly, Chatcoin is a fork of Talkcoin (TAC). However, it is not a simple clone. Different from TAC, coin amount is Relatively limited. Thanks to Talkcoin, we can now chat in the wallet by send 1 TAC (Now 0.1 TAC, Sorry for our mistake) to the network. However, writing all messages into the blockchain may be not a good idea, as it will make the block size increasing quickly. Though bump of price may inhibit the garbage message in blockchain, it will also make the chating function in the wallet useless, as few body would like to chat with 10000 Satoshi per message.  Lower the chating price will call the garbage chating back. Thus, one way to solve this contradiction is to make the chat independent of blockchain, and make the chat free. We note that Talkcoin team is developing a private chat mechanism through TOR network. This seems a good idea.

Here, however, we start a different project to make the private chat quick, secure and freely by extending the Bitmessage protocol to a new version. We call this bitmessage V2.0.
Any body feel this interesting please join the V2.0 coumunity, this project is open and dynamic.
As V2.0 is temprolly unavailable, we reserved the wallet chatting until the bitmessage V2.0 finish and integrated to the wallet.
Fees: 0.5 CHAT per message or 1 CHAT per bold message. Fees never changed to avoid garbage.

Once the Bitmessage V2.0 integrated into the Chatcoin wallet the chat would be free for ever.

We privade a indipendent private chat using the bitmessage network currently for windows wallet. But this was not integrated to the chatcoin wallet to awoid the unstable of chatcoin wallet. We think expose your  private key to the open network will harm your chatcoin wallet security. Thus, we did not change the bitmessage address to a chatcoin address rule.

Another signature for talkcoin is that the block reward is determined by voting, this sound like an interesting thing, however , this makes the reward frequently unexpected. This also makes the miners and buyers of chatcoin far away from the talkcoin market. It will also make the market easy to be manipulated and attacted by voting. To avoid unsertain artifacial manipulation harm the network hashrate and market price, Chatcoin remove the voting and fix the reward to specific per block. Total coins were set to 32768000 plus less than 5% inflation a year. And similar to Talkcoin, in each block about 2% additionnal coins were generated for the long run development and promotion of the Chatcoin and Bitmessage2.0 community.

Why not join to the TAC team ??

We once advised TAC to use bitmessage protocol  for private chat in Wallet, But they choose TOR.

So ,  We have to dev  ourselves.

And the infinity amount of TAC may be a disaster for the market expectation in the long run.

We should thank talkcoin forever. It's the original innovation.

so... you create a clone with a very small additional idea that could potentially save a ton of room on a hard drive in the long run.  Then say your going to release it and allow the first XXXXX blocks (nobody knows yet because "bitmessage v2 is in development")to have the bloatware chat? Contradict you plan and show nothing of the "open" code your referring to for the V2.0?  I don't really foresee this as any better then talkcoin since it quite literally is JUST A CLONE, thats it! So when you fail to release your v2.0 code within a couple weeks of launch you will be in the same position as talkcoin so I really dont see whats special? Wheres the proof of concept? How is v2 going to work vs the original? What are you doing yourself to promote chatcoin? Who are your team members and what do they have to offer?

Pump n dump anyone?

If you insist on mining it heres some faster hashrates for 270x / 270 / 7870:

http://redd.it/29n16h
(also includes kernel fix + bin files for 14.6 drivers)

and if you want to rent a Nist5 Rig heres the place to do it:

please reg here to give referral, thanks Smiley:
http://bit.ly/1q7SZKZ

They offer the best options for failover support, statistics and actually respond to tickets in a timely manor! Hands down the best rig rental site!

Back on topic.. I hope those that choose to support this effort aren't burnt :/.  Don't say I didn't warn you Smiley. Without a valid response to this post I would move on and mine TAC as it was the first and likely will continue to grow.. Without a reasonable response, not worth the risk. Good luck Smiley.

At least a NIST5 coin looks better.
I'm sick with the Icebergcoin's 19.2% premine.

Thanks for making Talkcoin more famous. Btw price for chat in Talkcoin is not 1 TAC anymore. It's 0.1TAC from block 230000. Could you change your OP ? Thanks.
