Like the title says, we need a no begging policy around here.
Or are we the kind of suckers that will give the fish instead of teaching them how to handle a fishing pole?
Beg 1 time, get a warning. Insist on begging, BAN the fucker.
If people are banned for off-topic posts, they should be banned for begging. Also, if you notice carefully, 99% of the beggars will turn out to be scammers. <--- Reason enough for this policy
Your thoughts about this?

I tend to agree, though I usually don't delete them unless I'm annoyed by them.

There is no clear line to draw. Donations towards a common project should still be allowed. Would Bitcoin100 be considered begging? Couldn't beggars circumvent this by "selling" pictures of smiley faces they drew in MSPaint? I am inclined to just leave it at moderator's discretion. I would however support a rule which permits trolling of begging threads.

I was talking more about guys registering and start begging the same day. Those are the ones that turn out to be scammers most of times. The pattern is there if you look closely. I also support the rule which permits trolling of begging threads. Ofcourse threads like Bitcoin100 should be excluded from that rule

We are a developer centric community. Fuck begging. Offer jobs, inspire to create, demand quality.
Begging is pointless and doesn't help anyone.
If absolutely must, they should get a loan.

Want me to just STFU? 1PKyq6aMKcCwn8cmb9Jc5SkNydLsQb5n7K Do you count your signature as begging? because I do. Not really. And I don't expect any kind of donation there. 1- That's my wicked sense of humour, and I understand if others won't get it 2- It's an easy way to give a bitcoin address when someone asks for it on the forum without having to open my client and get one, I just say "Address in my sig" and get done with it 3- I should've made myself clear that I was referring to posting threads just for the sole purpose of begging.

How about we have a vote. The vote will take this form:
If you strongly disagree with begging on the forum (and you may define begging in whatever way you wish), register your vote by never handing any of your money over.
If you agree with allowing begging, hand over whatever amount you feel like entirely at your own judgement of the worthiness of the cause being begged.

Some begging threads are really entertaining. We should have a section where all the begging threads go, and trolling those threads is allowed and encouraged.
I like this idea. Skid Row subforum...

I think this entirely depends on the context - for example begging for information not readily available should be okay. But begging for bitcoins crosses this line.

There's really no reason for a faucet anymore, much less for begging.
