I stopped doing "day jobs" pretty quick in my life, only going back to repay some BDK.BND debt. Corporate and government regulations are just unbearable. You get a cut on your finger, and if you didn't pack your own bandaid, you have to go the the first aid kiosk, talk with the nurse, fill out an OSHA report, get grilled by some higher-up you've never seen before, then apologize and feel like a bag of dirt because you let your finger hit a sharp stair railing. Corporations just act completely inhuman once there's an SOP on everything and government regulators breathing down their necks.

I've kind of committed myself toward side jobs (especially remote work), and there's kind of a point in time where you do all these odd jobs, gigs, and seasonal work where you can't really produce a good resume for FT work - unless maybe you do side jobs where you end up picking up a lot of certifications. I can't fit it in one page or even make myself seem stable. The good news is that I know and have earned a liveable/"thriveable" amount with BTC side-jobs and they totally kick ass because I choose who I work for and with, usually when I work, and often even how much I want to work - and there's a lot of diversity, way more than shift work at a corporation could ever match. The bad news is just that you can't easily shift back to being "normal" if you want and work's never guaranteed, and it's really kind of taxing to explain 8 mostly crypto-niche and seasonal or intermittent side-jobs than just saying "oh, I'm a salesman at SuchandSuch."

When "normal" in our society = "wage slave with white collar", I'll take abnormal any day of the week...

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Yes! CoinVulcan is our start-up that aims to provide a search directory to the crypto currency industry. We want to help people into Bitcoin by giving them an access point to the full range of goods and services in the 'new economy'.
