The data sheet says "200 W power supply". No, you cannot run 32 Spartan6-150 FPGAs off a 200 W power supply while mining. Mining consumes about 8 to 9 W per FPGA.

Also their cost per MHash is quite high if I remember correctly... I evaluated their gear some time ago. They also have a rackmount solution that has a ridiculous number of FPGAs in it, but it's not cheap. (compared to the current options like Icarus and X6500, or the BFL gear)

For 17000 Euro you get 64 FPGAs on 32 Icarus boards... worst deal ever

From the site: "Power Consumption The PCI Express specification limits slot power to 25 watts. The DNBFC_S12_PCIe is capable of consuming power significantly beyond that. In addition to the PCIe fingers, a separate HDD connector adds a second path for power. This product is shipped with adequate heatsinking to consume 75 watts, but airflow is required in the chassis to dissipate the heat. Contact the factory if you require high reliability, no-fan heatsinks." That thing would need lots more cooling.

I am mining on Slush's pool using a Rivyera FORMICA. One hash per clock. 80MHz. 32 x S6LX150. Averaging 2.5GH/S total according to Slush. Controller backs the clock off if card temp exceeds 50C. It could run faster if I had larger heat sinks and higher capacity switchers on the backside.

Wow, old post. Take a look at the FPGA miner github if you're interested in seeing some other implementations, if you got cooling/power sorted you should be able to get 6.5+ GH/s out of it.

you can mine litecoins with it assuming you have right bitstream - boards have memory attached to each FPGA!

@volosator, that is a very astute observation, and a very good idea! How did you know that? I will need to write a Scrypt machine. Any suggestion where I could get some info on Scrypt?

what kind of $$$ are we looking at for that unit? imagine if this unit could do LTC/Scrypt at 2.5GH/s edit: just found the prices 32 FPGAs: 16'999 EUR - FARRRKKKKK need to talk to my bank manager or sell one of my kids
