Litecoin too big to fail - just like automobile manufacturers and the banks.  Some rich person will come in last minute, buy up the sell walls and send LTC to $30.

I was expecting it'd hit lower than 0.01 but maybe this time it won't go that low, I guess now is the time to buy...

Keep dreaming... not even Ascis Companys will invest in litecoin if they know that the public dont want it anymore

It happened to BTC.  Winklevoss bought BTC

What incentive was there for Winklevoss or Branson to buy up BTC?

A lot of rich people in this world with more money than they know what to do with it.  Seems like a fair trade off to dump $1 to $10 million into LTC while it's down, especially when it could make you $10-$100 million in a few years if LTC goes to the moon.

I'm not someone who hates Litecoin, but do you honestly think that Litecoin will continue to succeed in a competitive market with no innovation or improvement? It's been three years already.

I'm not saying innovation is required for success, but in a free market where the incentives to be on top are very large and competitors are there, it would be odd if a stagnant product could out compete in a modern marketplace.

I've been watching LTC from the beginning and it didn't have to innovate back then. It came along when the only competition was RealSolid's Solidcoin, lol. And then PPcoin which was laughable at the time(I guess less so now, but still). It came in at the right time and it was rewarded for it.

Innovation didn't matter back then, but now I'm not so sure. And I don't own any altcoins at the moment and like I said, I have nothing against Litecoin. It pains me to watch a community with a coin with hundreds of millions of dollars in market cap ignore reality. It's illogical to me.

Litecoin had a great advantage as the second big crypto currency but it has not attracted a lot of development or infrastructure.  Too bad.

I was one of the first adopters to litecoin on cpu>gpu, if this holds true, very sad.

I think even one of the big devs removed scrypt mining out of his largely known program.

If litecoin fails, every alt coin (except pos, or whatever weird shit goes on, will fail), as scrypt was the 2nd, sha-256 being the first, to go through the inevitable mining cycle, of gpus becoming useless.
Why invest in any other alt, if litecoin has shown us that when a coin reaches enough popularity to have specialized hardware...it is dead.

Sure, someone will chime in, but no one in the real world cares about fancy dark magic tech behind new coins.
No one in the real world is going to go I will use btc for this and (your choice of another coin) for these purchases.  Do you go pay your bills in usd, and then buy a pack gum with fucking yen?
It is hard enough to explain why btc is valuable, try that with everything else.

Litecoin too big to fail - just like automobile manufacturers and the banks.  Some rich person will come in last minute, buy up the sell walls and send LTC to $30.

That is why I bought some, and debate buying more everyday.  Then I realized that is what I thought about mt gox......
How do you think that worked out for me lol  Embarrassed

yes ltc is the key to the rest of the alts staying afloat. ltc survived previous waves of alts which are dead or so close it isnt funny. it continued survival shows cryptos outside of btc can survive.

if it was to die (which isnt going to happen) who'd invest in any alt?

that's what the fools plugging their own shitcoin don't seem to get, they think they have to fud others to push their own crap (for which they'll dump anyways if they make enough fiat).

none of the latest flavors of the month will survive outside of this forum....ltc would  Wink
