Chain Radio is the first 24/7 Internet radio station designed for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

The Intro
Chain Radio is the first 24/7 Internet radio station designed for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

We’ve been working hard secretly for the past several months on building a 24/7, fully licensed Internet radio station that is built for cryptocurrency enthusiasts. We’ve got major plans for our radio station, we’ve received licenses from U.S. ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange, & SOCAN, we are finishing work on our streaming server, our request system and scheduling.

This station isn’t just lead by some fans of cryptocurrency, this station is led by experienced Internet radio managers, production teams and people who not only know Internet radio but are enthusiasts of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies.

We’ve worked hard over the past several months to bring it all together.

Chain Radio features the music you want to hear, the shows you’ve asked for, the news and updates that keep you in the loop.

With live streaming 24/7 we’ve built a platform the cryptocurrency community by the cryptocurrency community.

Current Needs
Right now we are looking for On-Air talent. If you've got a bitchin' Internet connection, a large collection of MP3 music and the ability to learn Sam Broadcaster we would love to speak with you.

We are also looking for people producing quality Bitcoin or cryptocurrency related podcasts who would like to extend their audience via Chain Radio.

If you want to make a small donation you can do so at: 1P29GBFUUDwfZFd8mhx3jXsaSZUMp4t96v

Donations will go to payments for servers, software (we license professional streaming software), the actual cost of music licenses (we do pay these), and other assorted costs.

Time Table
The station is currently LIVE and broadcasting 24/7.

Let's Hear Your Thoughts...
We want to hear what you are thinking about Chain Radio. Are you ready to see this happen, are you hoping to see something a bit different?

We intend on being listener powered in the sense that we are going to be building and developing our entire platform around you.

So, what are you thinking? Think this is a horrible idea, think it is a great idea? Interested in being a personality on air? Have questions?

We are here, and we are listening!

Thanks for the post! We hope to be sharing even more details VERY soon.

For those who have messaged asking what the current status is we wanted to provide a brief update.

We are currently finishing a few internal items that need to be taken care of. Scheduling being a large one and we still are looking for additional on-air talent.

We've secured all of the appropriate Internet radio licenses at this time, we've wrapped up some of the design work on our site and have begun quickly filling it up with content and we've been working on having a full series of professionally recorded bumpers and what not recorded and sent over to us.

Moar updates will be incoming soon!

The station comes from a group of cryptocurrency and Internet radio enthusiasts and has been under development for several months obtaining licenses from U.S. ASCAP, BMI, SEASAC, SoundExchange and SOCAN. Chain Radio has been on the air for over 24 continuous hours and we wanted to take a look at some interesting facts...

We've had listeners from The United States, The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Canada, Australia, and Egypt!

We've played just under 500 songs, aired several hours of interruption free music, kept our audience informed with the Chain Radio News Recap, updated the price of Bitcoin on air over 25 times, and seen great programming from You, Me and BTC, the SETI Institute, the Europop 20 and more.

Remember Chain Radio was created because we love cryptocurrency just as much as you do and we intend to keep kickin' ass.

If you have any comments, suggestions, thoughts, or complaints let us know!

Couple of thoughts at the moment.

1. Love that you implemented now playing and listener counts. Good to see that on the sidebar of the site.

2. Really enjoyed hearing that science show. Great addition. Fun and informative.

3. Can you make your daily news recap downloadable somewhere? Sometimes I am away from the ability to listen when you do it live and would love to be able to download the recap and listen to it later.

4. Can you get the advertisement rates live somewhere?

I did my first show on Thursday and have been incredibly happy with the reception we've been getting. I loved seeing the listener count start to climb during my set and it's continued to do so. Everyone that's tuned in has my thanks for helping us get this going.

I'm having no luck playing the .m3u in Ubuntu, (I'm trying it via RythmBox). Is anyone listening on a Linux machine that could point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I found the flash player, so that seems to be fine for the time being.

Thanks ChainRadio!

Hey crackerhead!

Thanks for sending us a message, we are heavy Linux users on this end as well so we are investigating the issue with the M3U link and are working on offering more listen options over the next few days.

We hope to have all of these added soon!

Thanks for listening!
