Cannabiscoin took off from there and C-Cex, we´ve just added Deepcoin there really fast and its trading.

C´mon guys it´s very cheap to get Whirlcoin trading again, we just gotta reach the top of the voting list and we get added for trading on the day.

See Deepcoin there we added it in a few hours and its trading very good, the price already went up.

Also you could get a few Bleutrade Shares and profit a small percentage every 4 hours from every coin traded there.

ok , a couple things,  

first of all i am a little late to the party here but better late than never....

I saw the posts earlier about people not getting connections.

I noticed that the wallet that was relased on the op has UPnP disabled,

So.... I took the liberty of compiling a windows qt wallet with it enabled, also enabled qr codes, open ssl1.0.1h

Note the wallet is a static (should not need the dll files) but there is one dll in the zip file (appears to be necessary to run on windows 7 )

I had about 7 connections on the old wallet, on my build after only a few minutes I have 19 so hopefully it helps things out a bit.

Also the tray icon (appears to be grostl coin) was not changed by me, I compiled this exactly from source changing nothing.

Not sure what that is all about but the client seems to function better now since without UPnP only direct ip connections would be possible.

I suggest to all that sell WHRL that do not sell for low price ( as on market)
It is obvious that one or few person keep coin price low.
Stop selling at that price , make at at least 5 times bigger.
I know there will be always people that sell right away, but rest of us dont do it: dumping coin price by yourself with that way!

had a chance to look over the source code today, i kind of like this coin,  the distribution model of coins is certainly fair....

i think the block times are a little fast , who knows if this would hold together if it got the kind of attention or hash power of something like litecoin....

still will look at it some more when i have time....

best of all with one gpu i was able to actually mine a few blocks since difficulty is pretty low (since no one sent me even a single coin for upgrading the wallet)

It's not the dev's fault. I see no reason to give up on this coin, chances are he is busy or simply unable to do any work atm. Considering this is a decentralised currency, I see no reason why people should put pressure on one person to get things done - that's making it centralised again.

The dev will be back, they often do. We need to ease our expectations, we only require the dev to be governing agent over updates - their job is to make sure everyone's code is compatible. Hopefully other devs will come out and help, like with the current bitcoin-core team

a coin is dead when you get zero connections and there are no nodes to be technical.

i understand most people don't mine alt coins because they believe in the coin they only want to 'EXCHANGE' the alt coin for btc

The coin is not necessarily dead, but it's definitely worthless.
