here is my suggestion for the new thread ...

a New whirl Chain based on the old Chain ... like Cai-Caix ( where is a formula made to change your your Whirlcoins for whirl 2.0 .. Example 100 Whirlcoins = 1 whirl 2.0
 
Also the change will be avaliable for a durtion like 15 days or so .

That will help rebrand the coin and also attract more people into it with a new thread and all .

The new chain will have the Same full PoW curved block rewards .

Automatic nodes sync .


For doing all that well it require a new dev or someone with alot of time .... im not a coder my self but i can contact someone or ask for coin services and ask how much this staff will cost .

With the exception of the bounty given to gpu dev for the algo... which should be kept at the same rate.  
(otherwise we will all do like claymore... )
Because that's nice screwing those who are making things possible but only to a certain point.

whirlpool isn't gpu friendly, it is certainly one of the most inefficient algo to run on a gpu.
I open-sourced the algo for a certain bounty, I don't see why what I get (and never spent) should be turned to shit while you don't bring anything special to the coin. (not like it is worth anything at the moment... but it is a question of principle).

what you wrote but not the cpu to gpu ratio is much greater power for the gpu, no comparison. Possible that the cpu miner is still poorly optimized, sorry to say but whrl support is very low ;]
