I hope he was talking about non-ionizing radiation.

I would certainly hope not considering ASICs are everywhere--computer processors, GPU cards, cell phones...most electronic devices have at least one.  ASICs are just integrated circuit chips.

Current Bitcoin miners can draw as much as 2500W. Perhaps with the extra power the normally insignificant amount of radiation they emit is boosted to got nukes levels.

You're exaggerating the dangers here. Over the course of a year say 100kW for a modestly sized ASIC farm really costs a lot of money. I'm sure there's a power useage level where nuclear is a viable option.

Yes, asic does emit radiation but not high enough for it to be dangerous. You can buy a radiation detector if you are really concern.

Nope, if your ASIC device isn't called like VVER-1000.

The radiation isn't as dangerous and the fumes that are emitted by the heated electronics.  You can smell the chemicals in the air if you walk into a room full of hot GPUs.  Those chemicals are known carcinogens.  One card mining probably won't kill you, 35 mining next to your bed 24/7 might be enough to trigger cancer.

Hmm think this is just scaremongering, really cant see them emitting that much radiation. If you are that worried you could just stick the asic out in your garage.
