It uses a unique randomizing function which integrates hardware entropy to generate a public bitcoin address with a private key. Use an offline printer to print the private key out and then make sure to flush the printer's memory so that the printer does not store the image of the printed paper wallet.

Cool... but "randomizing function which integrates hardware entropy"
is nothing new or special.  Using hardware entropy has been the standard
for a long time and is part of most programming languange implementations.

(Just pointing that out so we don't get into a long discussion
about entropy,etc.)

It is cool because there are no convenience/security trade-offs. It is both the most convenient paper wallet generator and the most secure paper wallet generator.

I donated as well.  It may not be anything new or groundbreaking, but it is form factors like these that will make bitcoin more accessible to the "average" person.

Now here's to hoping they reach their funding goal and get these things into the real world on schedule!

Meh, we don't need that. They should rather add other awesome things. Maybe a scam detector that prevents you from sending bitcoin to scammers. Or some feature that prevents you from panic selling your coins during a flash crash.

I would argue that convenient is not always good when trying to secure your funds. If you are doing something that is convenient for you then you may not take every necessary precaution necessary. Even if this generator is secure, by utilization convenience you would be more likely to bypass other security measures that are necessary.

The selling point here involves owning a printer with a USB port on the front that one can print from. The cheapest printer I could find on Amazon that definitively had a USB port it could read from was the Epson WorkForce WF-2540, for $79. From my brief search, it seems like printer manufacturers aren't so often including these USB ports, and are more often including a combination of memory card, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, or cloud printing features. Does anyone know of other budget level printer models that actually have this USB thumb drive reading capability?
