I have one U2 (3 more coming) running on an ORICO P10-U2 10 Port External USB HUB Ultra Mini USB HUB for Laptop & Desktop (10 Port HUB with Power Adapter) and I have yet to consistently hash above 1.5Gh/s.

I have it overclocked (I thought) –set-device antminer:clock=x0981, using bfgminer and btcguild for my pool.  What is causing it to under perform?

Have also U2 running.

Have command:

 -G -S antminer:all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 --set-device=antminer:clock=x0981

That works fine for me, with the x0981 they run after ~ 15 min. exactly at 2,0 GH/s

My tests with command  x0A81  to overclock to 2,2 GH/s work  with 3 USB-miner, with 4 USB or more they tilt. But at 2,0 GH/s  with  x0981  i can let work 6 sticks same time.

Edit:

  • On BTC Guild- settings configure the worker for the USB Miner at difficulty 4.
  • With 3-4 U2 set difficulty at BTC Guild- settings at 8.
  • With 5 or more U2 set difficulty at BTC Guild- at 16.
  • They have some minutes to arrive at good GH/s, first 1 - 5 minutes they run unstable

Edit 2:

Do you have a cooler? A fan? If you overclock, (2 GH/s or more) it is needet, so they run stable. Without cooler they often have 20 - 30 minutes stable, then the values start to decline... under 2 GH/s

Got it working like it should!! Downloaded the newest bfgminer and created a bat file shown below

-u username -p  abc -s 30 -S opencl:noauto -S erupter:all -S antminer:all -S amu:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0981

hashing over 2 finally and accepting shares like crazy. Now if the other 3 will get here i'll be good to go. Thanks for the input

I have a few of these Antminers, here are my setting in the .bat file for bfgminer, I get a steady 2gh/s with this setting.

bfgminer.exe -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0881
