I was reading a thread on Reddit about the dumbest financial mistakes people made, and reading through the thread was really interesting and informative, I my self have made few dumb mistakes especially when it comes to my career, I also made a mistake about not investing when I first heard about Bitcoin (it took me a while to decide).

So I want to know what is the mistake you mostly regret ? it doesn't have to be about Bitcoin...

I got into bitcoin in 2010. I even solo mined several blocks. I then got bogged down by trying to finish college, forgot about bitcoin, formatted my computer and lost all the coins. Yeah, that one stings.

I'm sure there are lots of lost coins from those of us who thought bitcoin was only play money back in those days... Tongue

Gambling while drunk....

Gambling while sober sometimes works out pretty good, and either way I have fun trying.  Gambling while drunk means I go down the tubes fast, too fast to even enjoy it.

Getting debts that I couldn't afford to pay, because the future ended up being different from what I imaginated.

But then bitcoin came and saved my life.

You could have bought a slice of pizza with those blocks that you solved in 2010.  Such a waste, a good slice of pepporoni!

getting a girlfriend  Tongue .  Seriously, that was the biggest financial drain I ever had.  Other than that, I guess buying an HD DVD player thinking it would win out over Blu-Ray Cheesy

I once accidentally placed a sell order not realising that it would automatically execute and lost 0.2BTC Sad then I also paid attention in school and when I think about it if only I had ignored school when I was 13 - 14 and did all the research I've been doing now I would be a hell of a lot smarter and I could have passed my GSCE's properly.

I should have walked away from a property I was $200k under.  I felt like I should do the right thing and be responsible so I kept it, but I could have walked away like everybody else and save myself a $200k loss.

I first heard about BTC in 2011 and it was valued at $10 a pop (and people said it was over-priced lol). Seems like 99% of people heard about BTC early but only few have taken it seriously enough.

I just posted this up today in another thread!

won 2000 bitcoins gambling back in october 2012.
lost 1500 bitcoins a few days later to the same site... I had developed gambling addiction.. and only way to get over it was loose big time.. after a massive win Sad

when BTC got to $1400 I was mega depresssed. That was the lowest I had been in the hole drama.

Now I am kinda over it. If BTC went back to $1400 I wouldn't be to fussed..

Not like I would of held them all till it reached $1400... probs would of sold em all at $30 thinking $30 was the max it will get to LOL Sad
