Public Announcement

Hello everyone,

First of all I want to thank you all for keeping supporting MACDCoin.

As we all already know the previous dev vanished so we were forced to takeover this coin.

I can now publicly announce that we are fully independent from the previous dev.

I was successful in hiring an expert dev team fully capable of supporting MACDCoin and we are already discussing future steps.

We have now our own Github repository with the source code and the wallet was now compiled with the new logo for Windows* and Mac.

Windows: *We are still having some issues with the Windows Compilation but we will update it here as soon as possible.
Mac: https://mega.co.nz/#!68gn0TLa!ksHutjIP3B6MTuTGb0PVEzJydHJh4BcfwahCx4Ssxks
Souce Code: https://github.com/CryptoWolf/MACDCoin

For faster sync please use the peers.dat file: http://macdcoin.com/peers.dat (Place it in the folder where the wallet.dat file is).

Additionaly we just launched the official website of MACDCoin: http://www.macdcoin.com

Our next steps are as follow:

1. TOR Technology implementation

We take anonymity very seriously so we are already in the process of implementing TOR technology.

I personally think this is a fundamental requirement to any coin in the market today so I decided that this should be our first additional feature to implement.

2. Anonymous Transactions

We will take our first priority to implement TOR technology. After TOR is fully implemented and working we will focus on implementing anonymous transactions.

We already had our first internal discussion and all seems clear on what to do, we just need time for it.

Community

Of course if you have any suggestions that you think can make this coin stronger feel free to expose them here or PM me!

I take MACDCoin seriously and I am not going to vanish from this coin, I'm here to help this coin and this community so stay tuned!

First of all, let me just say...    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! +100000000000  You're a hero!!

Any reason why my wallet on my mac has never synced?  It just says out of sync, and then says in the bottom right hand corner 0 active connections to MACDcoin network.  I've had the wallet open for a couple of days now.  I'd really like to get my coins off of Bittrex and into my wallet to stake.  Any help would be appreciated!

Did you add the peers.dat into the same folder your wallet.dat is located?

Hmmm... I'm kind of at a loss.  I downloaded and unzipped the .zip file for mac with winzip, and the only thing that's in the .zip file is the wallet.  After I unzip it it's not like it creates a folder with a whole bunch of files, and then the wallet is in that folder as well.  It just puts the wallet as an icon in a folder, but that's it.  After I double click on the wallet icon, it'll open the wallet, but then it just sits there and says out of sync, and that there are zero active connections to MACDcoin network.  Even when I search for either the wallet.dat or peers.dat on my mac, the search doesn't find anything.

Any other Qt wallets that I've downloaded for other coins have installed fine on my mac.  I would just download, open the wallet, and it would start syncing immediately.  I wouldn't have to locate the peers.dat or wallet.dat files and move them anywhere.  It just kinda worked.  Let me try downloading the wallet on a windows machine.  I'll let ya know what happens.

Below's a sample of the debug log.  Firewall's turned off right now just to rule out a firewall issue.  Looks like it's only able to load 1 address from the peers.dat file?  Then it keeps trying to connect to the same address of 104.131.244.116:21546 over and over again and never tries another one:

Any reason why my wallet on my mac has never synced?  It just says out of sync, and then says in the bottom right hand corner 0 active connections to MACDcoin network.  I've had the wallet open for a couple of days now.  I'd really like to get my coins off of Bittrex and into my wallet to stake.  Any help would be appreciated!

Hmmm... strange.  When I downloaded the windows version of the wallet to my windows laptop, it doesn't sync either and says there are 0 active connections.  When I open a couple other coin wallets on my mac, they sync fine.  Is anybody else having a problem with their MACD wallet or am I the only one? lol

Idk lol it syncs fine for me with the supplied peers.dat

Below's a sample of the debug log.  Firewall's turned off right now just to rule out a firewall issue.  Looks like it's only able to load 1 address from the peers.dat file?  Then it keeps trying to connect to the same address of 104.131.244.116:21546 over and over again and never tries another one:
