According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

The Original Dev Never placed an End for the PoW, I'm currently testing the New Code to stop the PoW.
Once implemented the PoW will be set to 0.01 CPTL.

[edit to add info]
After using the debug console "help" and reading through it, I started poking things. I backed up my wallet.dat first. So, after trying all kinds of things that I won't specify - because they didn't help... I will say that in the debug console, I typed "checkwallet" and waited a while to see what the result would be. It came back with "mismatched spent". I typed "repairwallet" and let it do whatever things it does. When it finished, my coins were listed as "Staked" on the Overview. I presume that after they have staked long enough, they will become my normal balance again. If not, I'll post back here.

Just in case this might help somebody else, I include it here.

[original post]
On Sept 13, I updated to 1.4.2 and started the wallet. My 640,000 coins went from "Balance" to "Stake", 2755.91534 coins showed up as PoS mined. It is now Sept 16, those PoS mined coins are still showing 0 confirmations and all of my coins that were "Staked" have vanished, my "Balance" is still 0, My unconfirmed coins are still 0. Net total coins in my wallet anywhere is 0.

I restarted the wallet with -rescan option but that did not change anything.

A little help?

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Just as a sanity check, is your wallet in sync with the block explorer?

Can you check the balance of your address on the block explorer, just to confirm that the issue is with your wallet.

Also I'm testing an update to repair wallet, once done I will release an update.

@vicvelcro

Try running repairwallet with the new CapitalCoin-qt from 09/16/2004.

Make certain you are in sync with the block explorer first.

Yes, per my previous post, I am all fine now.

I was in sync, my funds were visible in the block explorer, checkwallet and repairwallet did fix it.

I notice above that there are parts of the instructions on how to resynchronize my wallet that are crossed out.
Is it no longer necessary to use the bootstrap file to synch the wallet?

I had a hard drive failure but, thankfully I had a recent backup of my wallet. I am wondering what the correct way is to get back in synch  Huh

Hello everybody  Smiley
I am happy to introduce Altdice to the Capitalcoin community.
It's a provably fair dice game pretty much like Satoshi Dice.

http://cptl.altdice.net

To place a bet, choose your favorite odds and send a transaction from your wallet to the associated game address, with an amount anywhere from min bet to the max bet. (Don't use anon PeerSend)
A Lucky number between 0 and 65535 will be picked up for you, based on your bet transaction ID. (Provably fair, of course)
If your Lucky number is below the target number you bet on, then you win your bet amount * Prize Multiplier which is paid out directly to your wallet.
If you lose, you get 0.001 CPTL back to your wallet.

The game requires 1 Capitalcoin confirmation to process a bet. 98% expected payout. 2% edge house.
Come and multiply your CPTLs ! You can wager up to 500,000 CPTL per single bet !

Have a try :-)
Send any amount from 1 CPTL to 120,000 CPTL to Cd2wDkvq1DVeeZkeV8VThDkJyA9dzbRYra => This is the 85% chance of winning game address.
It pays out x1.153 your bet amount automatically to your wallet if you win.

I wish endless fun to players and the best of luck on http://cptl.altdice.net Smiley

Feel free to send a PM or Contact Us on the website whatever the reason. Feedbacks are always welcome !
