I'm interesting in CPU-mining for several reasons.
Are there some living alt's with cpu-mining? something like top-20 or top-40 market cup.
I'm just want to find something for myself.

Thank you.

Primecoin, enjoy.  I mined it for a cpl months with my CPU, FX-8210 AMD.  I bought ASIC's now and just mine BTC and PPC.

CPU-mining looks like recycled investment. ASIC miner's unuseful without bitcoins. CPU - nope. The whole infrastructure around miners hardware looks ugly for me. single-purpose hardware is bad. it's my point. multiply that by increasing difficulty of the block and you got unuseful expensive hardware with falling by 15% profit every 12 days

am i right?

Come and try mining XMR at http://cryptonotepool.org.uk or at least read our info page for some pointers - its a CryptoNote based coin so there are some fundamental differences to mining Bitcoin derivatives.

Its debatable whether the algo still really favours CPUs, the latest GPU miners are getting pretty efficient, but if you have access to a number of good CPUs then it can be profitable - at least 3x more than other alt-algos.

If you need any help getting setup feel free to contact me directly Smiley

Pool admin @ http://cryptonotepool.org.uk/ - for miners who value reliability (and like orange)!
Currently donating all of our 1% pool fee to the dev fund - mine at CryptonotepoolUK and support XMR at no extra cost!

yes but not for long... may-be shinycoin will stay cpu only for a very long time with its 16gb memory requirement... for the rest, they will sooner or later become gpu (or else) coin.
