How can i set up an image as profile picture?

It seems like it has been disabled since the forum MITM a few months ago, but i would like to set up one so, do i need a better rank as forum member or is that disabled forever?

There is no way you can do that.
It is not related to member rank.
The avatar feature will not come back before we have the new forum software (expected to be ready in 2015).

You cannot set any profile picture to your profile .. no one can change avatar weather he is a hero memeber or sr member so dont waster your time delete this thread lucky those people who signed up during 2012 have avatar but they cannot chnge avatar..

Since the last forum hack, the options of setting avatars was disabled permanently for this version of forum by theymos. They suffered a hack which forced them to do so. Forum member group cannot enable your changing of avatars.

You have to be high enough member to be able to get picture ability. And when you enter settings of profile it says ''changing avatar currently unavailable''.
