I'm thinking of buying 2 of those today but not sure will my XFX550Watt power supply will manage. Did any1 measure the power consumption of those cards?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

5830 TDP spec is 175W.

I have 4x5830 rigs, mobo/sempron 145/1gig ram all pulling about 675W-700W
