This is a great example of Bitcoin's crises as a currency. We are here on the most popular bitcoin forum. And yet, people are more willing to pay USD for goods then BTCs. The same happened to me here ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64283.0). Because Bitcoins are designed to be deflationary people are not willing to spend something that they expect to rise in value in the future. An effective currency is a currency in circulation. The reluctance to separate from Bitcoins kills it as a currency. |
