Currently Available:
*NEW!*Request Principal - ฿100 Amount Due - ฿110 Due Date - 6/6/12 Ask Price: ฿3 Location: Helsinki, Finland Notes: Has not been active on forum since May 31st. Has not replied to PMs or email. The loan is classified as a business-oriented loan. Loan is not secured. Debt comes with fairly extensive dox'ing and all correspondence. A phone number has been collected, but I am not sure if it's necessarily his, and have not tried calling it. The websites he was intending to continue development on using the loan have been taken down, and he doesn't appear to be active anywhere online.
*SOLD!*SirChiko Principal - ฿15 Amount Due - ฿16.81 Due Date - 3/5/12 Ask Price: ฿.50 Location: Unknown Notes: Still active on forum. Has not replied to contact. I have no information on this individual. The loan is classified as a consumer loan. Loan is not secured.
*SOLD!*DoubleIcaras Principal - ฿59.2 Amount Due - ฿67.5 Due Date - 3/6/12 Ask Price: ฿2 Location: Bedfordshire, UK Notes: Is no longer active on this forum. Member is assumed a scammer. Has not replied to contact requests. I have extensive information on this individual (not his address, however, though I have his dad's) which will be turned over upon purchase of this loan. IP information corresponds with his assumed location. Loan is not secured. Multiple other lenders are also involved in collection efforts. Comes with a pre-written notification of non-payment I'm not comfortable sending because I'm not sure of DI's nor his father's identity. His father has not responded to contact requests.
*SOLD!*Shakaru Principal - ฿2630 Amount Due (settlement amount - payments made on it) - 1784.38BTC Due Date - Before Feb. 2012 Ask Price: 200BTC Notes: Not going to offer explanation. I think everyone on the forum who might be interested knows what's going on.
Upon sale of bad debt, I am not responsible for what you do with the claim. You'll receive no formal paperwork. I am not responsible if you collect nothing. I am not responsible if you are sued for harassment. I am not responsible for inaccurate information.
This thread will be updated if loans are defaulted on in the future.

sigh...brings back great memories...at one point in my life I used to collect debt...from deadbeats...eventually...for some reason I started to feel guilty more and more until your collection methods were not as effective as they used to be.

How would this work? I mean how do they know they now owe me, how do they know I'm not a scammer?

It'll be marked in this thread, which you can point them to, and I'll alert them to it as well. That's about as much authority as I have to collect the debt. If one of the debtors were to suddenly pay me back, I'd transfer all funds collected to the current debt-holder.

I think these types of threads are interesting...but how do we know they really owe you that money?

Chiko's was done through PMs, fwiw. Conversation's effectively: SC: I want 15BTC Me: Alright. What'll you be using it for, "Tor?" SC: Lol, yeah. Me: That's fine. Here're the terms... SC: Sounds good. Repay address? ... I'll take screenshots if someone buys it, but that's hardly irrefutable. I don't see any options other than trying to convince the defaulter to pay what's owed. From the PMs, he seems fairly reasonable... Seemed a bit nervous, which is now more understandable.

P.S. If you are a debtor mentioned in the OP, know I'll be willing to settle with you for the ask price in the OP. After I sell the debt, the collector will likely seek the full amount due. (SirChiko, I'm looking at you!)

OP updated. Prices reduced and added Shak debt I just purchased for 100BTC (yes, I'm selling it for 2x the price I paid something like 30 minutes prior to this post). Given the debt is "unionized," I can't (without pissing off people I do business with) settle for less on the debt with shak without receiving a reduced payout every time a payment's made to the "SDM dispersal fund." This also prevents me from allowing sale of the debt to Shak for the price I'm asking, though it still an option for DI & SirC.
Cheers!

Let me get this straight for myself, if I were to be an investigator, I could buy the claim and go after the scammer for the funds, even up to taking them to court or what ever possible means to receive the fund/goods?
And if this is correct, I understand how debt is sold now. I have been wondering how dept was being sold.

Debt is being sold without much legal precedent. I mean, if the court's willing to accept forum PMs as the basis of an enforceable loan - then yeah, it's possible, but more likely, it will need to be settled individual-to-individual with the lendee. That could involve a range of options, with better options existing if you're physically near the lendee, which is why I think it's important to include location and as much dox'ing as available.

It's just harder to prove that it exists. If you took them to court and got a (default) judgement, how are you going to collect bitcoins. you can't garnish or levy against them. You'd have to come up with a fiat value. You should add something to the terms of the loan that should there be a default the fiat value is the highest price on gox within the terms of the loan price or something.
