It's kind of a good idea to revive this thread from times to times.

I am not surprised to see the large majority of users from the United States. It's a beautiful country. I wish we had more UK folk!

This confirm what I was thinking. Canada is the place in the world with the hightest number of bitcoin users per capita.
- good banking system. cheap to send money to your exchange service - deserved by a good exchange with low fees (cavirtex) - relatively cheap electricity - during a good part of the year we can use the heat of a mining rig to heat our home.

Sweden is higher. Considering the size of the dataset that might change before I finish writing this though.

Sweden is higher. Considering the size of the dataset that might change before I finish writing this though. Canada 34,801,000/18 = 1,933,389 Sweden 9,415,295/5 = 1,883,059 Yes sweden have the edge for now because you have 1 bitcoin user who filled the survey for every 1,883,059 inhabitant and in canada it's only 1 per 1,883,059. After crunching the numbers I come to the conclusion that the northern countries like bitcoins more than the others. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada.

I'm not from United States
I'm not from New York
I'm from Brooklyn.
Yes, we are our own country.
OP- Please add Brooklyn to the list.
In that case, Texas should definitely be on the list.

I wonder how different the results would be if you asked this question in Russian or Farsi?

People tend to spend more time on the computer in countries with fewer days of sunlight and countries with a more temperate/cold climate.
