You will probably have more luck with that than I did finding an attorney that would advise me on a Bitcoin scratch-off game.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Here's one: Dewey, Cheatem & Howe

err ..., here maybe:
Jankovic LLC - The First CPA Firm to Accept Bitcoins
 - http://www.jankovicllc.com/apps/blog/jankovic-llc-the-first-cpa-firm-to

they accept bitcoins so I would guess they'ld know how to account for them.

If not, here's a starting place:

But if you do find one, you could suggest they participate in this webcast course:

Thanks, I'll check them out. I've also found an accountant who's willing to look in to it, and a professional to work out the cost basis for my MtGox and Bitcoinica transactions http://www.investotek.com/

I remember at one time Mt. Gox describing a report it could run to provide those numbers, ... on a FIFO basis, I believe.

This gets difficult when you use multiple exchanges.   I can't imaging trying to manually do the tax reporting for someone doing arbitration between the exchanges, for instance.

You also might want to get a copy of A Lawyer's Guide To BitCoin And Taxes because there are several reasonable approaches one can take. If you want to order then send us a message because we have been having technical difficulties with Strongcoin.com's micropayment code.

I'm not sure if your still looking

Been using an accounting firm based in New York for a few years now, and they do Bitinstant's books as well.

Also, Ron Lazar of AINI & LAZAR PLLC is our legal counsel and board member, I've spent the last few months educating him on Bitcoin and at the same time paid him alot of money for research into financial laws.

He helped us put together our 16 page AML manual as well.

Let me know if you want the intro!
