Edit-- nevermind, someone else explained that it was a change address that it was sent to and how to change that setting-- End Edit

Hi, I have a question about transaction fees in electrum. I punched in a transaction of 0.01 btc to send with a 0.0001 tx fee but blockchain shows me as having placed a 0.003785 btc fee. What did I do wrong? How can I prevent this from happening again?
