OEC has a chance to hit poloniex in near future. He is on the voting list, and is going pretty good. Why nobody is keeping alive the thread and the coin. At least this coin has a working GUI wallet. Please someone respond or takeover

it's not dead, network its always up, and someone mining this coin,
without interruption.....

Maybe the community can do something about it, this coin has a GUI-wallet unlike many other cryptonote coins.

If you want to mine some coins with this low difficulty and can't find a working pool in the OP, here's the current url: http://oec.democats.org

This coin is still running fine, but do not use the legacy daemon to sync. Try Forknote as described in the new BCT thread above and you should be fine.
