So if it's 100% already distributed what's the merged mining?

So mining is better thought of as subsidized transaction processing. Transaction Processors (miners) get 1% of the ticket price and there's a small subsidy of 10 LTS too. They can merge that with their Litecoin or other scrypt coin mining too.

for compiling lottoshares daemon in linux:

- install the dependencies
- move the txt files (they are located in the /release) to the src folder.
- cd into the src and type this -> make -f makefile.unix

after that, run it with ./lottosharesd

(it's important for daemon to see txt files in the same directory.)

When will you share some mining information?

No running pool?

No running pool?

To process transactions (mine) use

setgenerate true

in your debug panel.

There should be merged mining pools coming online in the next few days that allow you to merge mine LottoShares with other Scrypt based coins.

I count 6 distribution lists to get this coin, and I do not qualify for any. A pauper in the true sense of the word Cheesy

Probably mining will net something if it stays under the radar a bit.

LottoShares, DAC (LTS)

Binaries (Wallet/Miner)
(Compiled and released by testzcrypto)
https://github.com/LottoShares/lottoshares/releases

Parameters
Service: Built in lottery game, 6 of 42
Block target: 2.5 minutes
Port: 6042
Proof of Work: Scrypt Merged Mining Capable
Codebase: United Scrypt Coin
Block Subsidy: Custom block subsidy (1 to 10 LTS) inversely related to difficulty
Difficulty Retargeting: Every block with Dark Gravity Wave
Total Shares: 100 Million

Game
LottoShares allows shareholders to use their coins to play a lottery style game, choosing 6 numbers from 42.

Players can choose the size of their stake and prizes are fixed-odds -

6 numbers = 1,000,000 X stake
5 numbers = 5,000 X stake
4 numbers = 100 X stake
3 numbers = 10 X stake

Profit
When a lottery ticket is played, the coins used as a stake are destroyed.
Prizes are paid from the coinbase and provide an 85% average return.
Thus as the lottery is played 15% of the total stake is destroyed, making other players richer.
See Dividends 2.0 for more explanation - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1169.0

Hey Dev, Question: If I stake 10 LTS and get the 6 numbers right so I would WIN 10,000,000 LTS right? Can you explain where would that 10M LTS come from? They just magically appear or what? You are talking about a coinbase so is that where they come from, but won't they run out of LTS eventually with these kind of big winnings?

So in short I don't understand from where are the winnings generated?

I'm also confused about these contradicting statements:

When a lottery ticket is played, the coins used as a stake are destroyed.
Thus as the lottery is played 15% of the total stake is destroyed, making other players richer.

So which one is it? All coins destroyed or just the 15% of the stake?

Please excuse my excess of prudence but what are "in general" (not talking about this specific coin) the risks of importing your bitcoin private key on an unknown wallet?

Could that be risky?

Just wondering,

Thanks
