Is there a limit as to how many queries it can make per minute/second? If the forum is getting a lot of queries from the same IP address (the site) then  would it limit it similar to how it limits searches?

yes, same as the forum limit but no problems so far.  I will put it on different servers later, so there wont be any limit.

They support any kind of signature. The only difference is price. You have to custom specify your price per post as the default is PD's rate. They most likely wouldn't care what signature are you using.
