Hello friends! Just suddenly I received this message below:

A fatal error occurred. Bitcoin can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION: 13leveldb_error
Database I/O error
C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe in Runaway axception

Item detected: Bitcoins\chainstate\149013.ldb

My OS: Windows 7 32bits
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope somebody could let me understand if this is really a virus; and help me to

solve it.

Looks like your bitcoin database is corrupt. Have you tried again ?

Im having the same error, and I;ve sent bitcoins to an adress that was generated inside Bitcoin core. This is so fcked up

It looks like that your antivirus software detects a false positive in blockchain datafile. At least Avira and Microsoft Security Essentials have done so ealier.

Can you configure your AV so that it checks only executables but not datafiles?

to all
i fixed mine, the problem was btc core creates a 2nd folder in appdata--roaming my computer got turned off while the core was open ie corrupted files and i did an  uninstall and then deleted files in appdata--roaming bitcoin folder. then reinstalled.  

dont forget to backup your dat. file .   Smiley

Just had this problem. Found windows defender labeled it as DOS/Stoned in file bitcoin\chainstate\055912.ldb while doing a bitcoin-qt.exe -reindex
Thanks for the heads up! I'll put that folder in the exceptions settings.

1) Be sure you downloaded the client from the official site.
2) Do a -rescan
