Notably, despite the suggestions by show hosts that such industries as wearable technology, healthcare and home automation were areas that investors should be considering for investment over the next three-to-five years, Hoffman suggested he is increasingly focused on bitcoin.

It seems that bitcoin is becoming mainstream with more heavyweights entering the field. But I wonder how it will affect the price in the long run?

The price is bound to go much higher with so many wealthy investors showing high levels of interest in Bitcoin and related companies.

We are all going to look back one day and conclude that sub-$1000 was still cheap territory

Well most people think "Bitcoin" is a Get rich quick scheme, and when they fail, they blame the protocol and not themselves.

Having a long term investment goal, would be a better option for a ROI strategy and a recipe for success in crypto currency. His 5 years goal sounds fair to me.

But in 5 years bitcoin might not even be here anymore. { A alt coin, might take it's place } So rather bet on investing in "crypto currency" than only one coin.
