This is pretty interesting. It is amazing that bitcoin is more popular than the original internet in terms of VC investment!

Can't really compare internet with bitcoin as you can own bitcoin and can't own internet.

Maybe I am a wonk but I like the emphasis on transparency part the best. There is really no room for shenanigans if we demand transparency from those we do business with. I will not use an exchange that doesn't do external audits. That doesn't remove all of the danger, but it helps tremendously.

Well...the next version will be 0.10, not 1.0...

Hardforks aren't that hard. It’s getting others to use them that's hard.

Yeah, but dont forget that the can cool down just as fast.
Those regulations are coming in just the right time if you ask me, allowing speculators a bit less uncertinty of their investments,
so that mt.gox never happens again.

Very cool article...

I was not really aware that Dish is accepting bitcoin until this....Maybe just maybe I would think about getting Dish if the storms....

I am hoping by the end of the year here it bumps back up to over $1000 dollars and a lot of retail companies start getting interested...would be great to go to the store and just pay with Bitcoins...

Bitcoin price soaring everyday by almost 1%.. Its not far that the price will reach $1,000 dollar by the end of the year..
