I'd have to agree, but with the way things are going, it could be like the internet is today,within a year or 2.  Better educational material and easier ways to acquire BTC would help things, as most people I know wouldn't have the technological knowhow to buy BTC.

Yeah, very few people that I've tried to explain BTC to can make it past 30 seconds worth of educating, it starts to hurt their brain or go over their head. I've been recalibrating my explanation and leaving out all the techie stuff that even took me many months to come to grasp with. If I hadn't been a libertarian, I'm the type of person that would never have given a crap about digital currencies. Heck, I heard about it on Free Talk Live for over a year and it just kept pissing me off hearing about it over and over. Finally, I got past my disgust for this shit and embraced it.
