He is not "one of the most well-known and colorful" fighters in any organization. His record is 15 wins 17 losses right now, and he has never been a champion. All of his notoriety is based upon this fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjwUrw69nMo. That was before they did any drug testing in MMA at all. Anybody familiar with steroids could easily tell you he was on loads of juice during that match, just like Vitor Belfort was at the beginning of his career when he beat Wanderlei Silva in a few seconds.

It is good that we have more people endorsing bitcoin in any way, but Phil Baroni is just a low-tier professional fighter in the small leagues, at best. This is coming from a hardcore fight fan who watches several fights in different sports and organizations on a weekly basis. Phil is a nobody, but this endorsement is still net positive news.

I thought it was pretty cool when I was 17.  I haven't watched it in 10 years.

It's an entertainment channel mostly for men and they're of mostly inferior intelligence.

Exactly. Most of the people who see this are the kind of people who won't use bitcoin until it's put in their hands without them having to think an any way.

Still cool to see bitcoin on TV regardless!

Actually we have other MMA promotions in development. We liked the fact that Phil was going to be on SpikeTV and that he would discuss bitcoin with the press this week.

Joe Lauzon would have been a much better choice. He is far more intelligent and a much better fighter than Phil ever was.
