What is the POB project?

The POB project seeks out existing charities and provides them with data of potential growth opportunity through the use of crypto currencies. There are many programs similar to the POB project, but none are the same. Other charity projects accept the crypto currencies on behalf of the charity and then convert them into cash to donate to said charity. They do not do this for free. The POB project is set so no donation is ever in the ownership of Piece of Bit; or any of its affiliates. We simply guide these charities through the beginning steps of accepting crypto currencies themselves using our site, obviously, and personal support from me and the POB team. At least until they get the feel for it. So any donations made here or there will all be directly to the charities and POB takes 0% profit on all donations contributed through this site.

How it works

Every month we will submit a poll in which our users will vote on 1 of 3 highly distinguished charities. Each poll will ask to pick a charity, an amount you would have donated had they already accepted crypto currencies and how often you would donate if they were accepted. At the end of the month we will have Jerry from accounting tally all the votes. A local chapter of the winning charity will be contacted via every imaginable outlet to show them the numbers we received. Obviously we can not and will not pressure anyone, but we will let the numbers speak for themselves.

Why we are doing this?

The entire purpose behind Piece of Bit is crypto currency awareness. We do this by providing information on all aspects of different coins. We do this because making the general public more aware of this technology will help build and strengthen the markets. There are some things that leave a bad name on Bitcoin and its technology, but we believe we can replace these bad views with good ones. This is where everyone benefits. One great charity will get a link on our site and start accepting crypto payments and the community will be able to display the good of the technology.
