http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumoconiosis

Pneumoconiosis is an occupational lung disease and a restrictive lung disease caused by the inhalation of dust, often in mines.

Ick. Here's what Monty Python had to say about it, in 1713: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nouLjfCE22E

See, you really didn't know about the Treaty of Utrecht, did you?

Well, I had a mining accident too. I made a bloody cut to my middle finger, when I inadvertently put it it the way of my huge fast rotating 12 cm Arctic Cooler fan. (I have fans outside of the case pushing the air inside). So beware!

The most dangerous thing for me so far has been taking out the expansion slot covers on the cases I've been buying *shakes sliced up fist at Antec*

Occupational hazards of Bitcoin mining:

1. Burns from overclocked GPUs or overloaded power supplies
2. Cuts during insertion and removal of GPU cards or disassembly of cases
3. RSI from continually hitting F5
4. Hearing loss from high ambient noise level
5. Fingers caught in cooling fans
6. Severe depression following price drops
7. Torture by the CIA
8. Assault by spouses after spending the family savings on mining rigs

It's a dangerous business.
