Dell Partners With Coinbase to Become the Largest Ecommerce Merchant to Accept Bitcoins. Glad to hear about Dell. Unfortunately today is a bad day for positive news because of the proposed New York regulations on Bitcoin.

So Amazon must be thinking now do we go ahead and try to make our own digital coin (besides those silly Amazon app coins) or do we just go ahead and go straight for Bitcoin acceptance.  I wonder how low their merchant rates are from Visa/MC/Discover.  Saving 1-2% on their level of gross revenue would be enough to make them profitable  Cheesy

Pretty good news. Bullish. Thought we might see more reaction in the market, but I guess it's just more good news piled on. Too bad I'm not a fan of their computers.

I think we are going to see more news like that soon. Smart merchants would accept pretty much anything what customers are willing to pay.

Never expected a large company to join in so quickly, hope the next one will be bigger. Why not Amazon  Grin

Amazon will be a bit tougher. We're talking about the biggest e-commerce company in the world. I really don't think Bitpay/Coinbase would be able to handle the transaction volume.

Ditto on thinking we'd see more of a reaction from traders. I guess we were sliding downward, and when the news broke, we quickly bounced back. But it seems even news this good couldn't send us towards the moon. Smiley
