I think, as FedEx has said in a few statements. "How are we suppose to control what our customers send?" "Why are we criminally responsible for something we didn't do, or have control over."
It will be interesting to see how the FedEx thing plays out. There will always be a black market bitcoin or not. People will use whatever currency is available. Its hard to blame a currency because some criminal organization decided thats what it was going to use.

The allegation is they did things specifically to help these fake pharms distribute their stock knowing that is what was being done.

That would be where they crossed the line.

I agree, they may have done these things. I guess the proof just needs to start coming out, and then we'll know for sure. I wouldn't put it past them if they were. Seems everyone is trying to make a little extra on the side nowadays, I'm sure they aren't the only ones. lol

$1.2 Billion generated sales just from Silk Road around 2.5 years operation
that's a big amount of money
and now there are some 25 new marketplaces just like the Silk Road. Shocked
i'm curious how they shipped illegal drugs/ guns to the buyer/customer?
I think the $2.5 billion figure is inflated as they measured the sales in terms of BTC but most of the BTC transacted was when BTC was trading much less then it is now.

I quite like how bitcoin got its first push via the blackmarket but is now gaining legitimacy. It's here to stay whether people agree with it or not.

FedEx just got indicted for drug delivery.  Don't you guys read the news?  They are under criminal indictment.

What? This is riduclous if true. Best start lawsuits against airplane manufacturers for importing all that coke.

I think this is going to determine their guilt. If FedEx really knew about the drug companies selling illegal drugs and facilitated their distribution then they will likely be found guilty.
