Ive spent a while developing a music application and would like to recruit the bitcoin community to help me with the task of populating the site with music. Im looking for people who have an idea of electronic music of all genres, or more the better. There are no limitations. If you have a deep passion for electro house and breakcore to dubsteb, hardstyle and gamewave, all is wanted an accepted. There will be a fixed fee paid per upload (must match a criteria). For now, there will be a fixed budget. Its yet to be decided how much exactly but we will see. I cant give too many details as im still in proccess of obtaining the licence for the site, as the mobile application is not yet finished im not in any major rush but I thought puting out the feelers to get any recruits would be a good idea. So please PM me if your into dance music and interested in making some Bitcoin. Il be looking for around 5-10 people depending on individual music taste and appreciation. I would like to note the service will be ran free of charge (web). The mobile application will be paid (adventually) via Bitcoin or SMS only. With Bitcoin receiving a vastly better deal. People who decide to help with this portion of the project will receive a substantially large amount of free use on the mobile application also (It wont be expensive but it is an extra incentive ). Thanks.

you're looking for people that "have an idea of electronic music" or people that produce electronic music?

Im after people who can just upload sets to get a decent selection of music in each category before I make it fully public. I will be interested in residents (who will receivee a special tag in the DB and probabaly other benefits) in time aswell. If you take a look at www.lsdb.nl for instance it is a link site. I intend my site to be the the storage database, for the music. After talking to the people providing the licence it seems that aslong as the music is licenced for redistribution the source is not so important. Obviously if an artists specifically requested that it is removed it would be but I cant see that happening if im paying for people to listen to their music lol. A little more information, The music, due to licencing terms must be livesets, recorded podcasts. These are two seperate licences which will be held for users to stream and download. Music podcasting service A downloadable, audio only programme that contains both music and speech and where the podcast cannot be disaggregated into its individual tracks Premium and Interactive Webcasting service User can interact e.g. skip tracks, pause, fast-forward etc, but not select specific tracks on-demand If you have any ideas or know something I dont know about the way this works it would be welcomed input. As stated, I must get the licence sorted before moving forward but it is all food for thought.

How are you going to deal with the copyright associations from each country? Will you pay all of them the licenses to stream music? How will you get authorization from the labels that hold the distribution rights for those tracks?
Now the most important question: Are your pockets as deep as Apple's or Google's pockets?

Apparently aslongs im only marketing in my own country I dont require to be licensed beyond my borders. That was my question. The answer I seemed to get was "its our job to distribute the funds to the associated labels", I asked how they would know who belongs to what within the podcasts, they said "its our job to know".
If a website isnt bringing in over a certain amount per year (it is quite low). Theres a fixed fee up until around 1.8 million streams a year. If I start hitting anywhere near these numbers I will already consider it a success.

I guess this is suppose to have a different purpose than those sites. its not about a community but a actual database to hold sets (i want to replace megaupload still dumnping of sets, not hold a community around them).
I dont expect to compete with the likes of soundcloud, Its just an add free place with no b/s to host sets you can easily give to other people for direct downloads. I made it solely due to getting pissed of at FTP sites n shit bandwidth and never remembering where to find sets.

I would love to be involved in this. Please PM me. I have quite a few sets I could upload. I'm specifically into the progressive and tech house styles, but I love it all.
Very cool!
