we need a JakeSend Smiley

Actually, I don't think I'm the biggest holder.  I'm just willing to donate the most because at one point I thought we were in dire straits.  Embarrassed

I'm still donating.  I just need to clear up a view withdrawal issues from Bittrex and I will make my donations.  Probably some time today I will make my next donation of 300k to the Pesa development team.

the coin will need some extraordinary features to rise...
and the competition is great, some coins promise and some deliver nice features

Not sure if you were in the IRC the other day, but the intended features are nice.  Most coins haven't really delivered much on the promises yet.

Hey Guys,

It was great chatting with Pesa Advocates last week Smiley, I will share a concept proposal with flunkie on the following by end week.

PesaCash: Pesa as the Worlds fast default crypto currency compatible with Mobile Network Operator standards.
PesaSMS: Sending Pesa over an SMS gateway using GSM Mobile Numbers as Aliases.
PesaMarket: Market for Digital Goods(think itunes over SMS) this is already a billion dollar industry in Asia/Africa.
PesaFaucet: JakeThePanda seriously needs a faucet  Grin
PesaWallet: Pesa Wallet on Android/S40/ translated to at least Swahili, Arabic, French.

The idea is to get PesaDev to review some of these ideas and see if they can be layered on top of his upcoming Smart Contract and Enigma platforms.

Also I am a newbie in Crypto but I have to ask is it possible to reduce the Pesa Blocktime to between 30-40Secs  Huh

Lastly I really like ShadowCoin we should benchmark Pesa on Shadow's Quality and I think DarkCoin's market cap will be in sight in a few months. Cool

My 2 Pesas

Really looking forward to working with whive, especially on PesaSMS. This type of community voicing of ideas is exactly what we had in mind from the outset of this project.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, how is enigma progressing?

To answer powersup, from my understanding enigma is coded and awaiting one or two decisions before being released. Eta is 2-3 weeks.

Whive has considerable experience in... Developing SMS products, that he will have to clarify though.
I forget exactly what he said his past experience was in, but it has something to do with SMS technology.

Those that have tried our freenode irc channel the past couple days and were silenced upon entry, I would like to apologize.

I have changed the irc mode to allow everyone to speak.

A few of us are in irc incase you have any questions or would like to discuss PESA further.

I hope ENIGMA would stand apart form the usual coin mixers available.
Thats why its taking some time to get implemented.

I have experience in developing SMS and USSD gateways and services over the past 5 years. I would like to see Pesa tap into the emerging markets across Asia, Africa and South America. You need these technologies to make headway in these markets.

It will be great to have enigma and smart contracts up and running asap but Pesa needs to solve real world problems to go mainstream and there are a lot of services we take for granted in the Western World that are not available in poorer regions.

In my humble opinion Bitcoin seems too slow and focused(for now) on being a global digital currency to meet this underlying needs.

The Pesa white paper is quite inspiring and the fact that dynamic interest is now working seems to indicate the future is bright for Pesa. Cool

I just said the same thing in irc not an hour ago.
Pesa has a good chance of being bit coins golden child if you can tap emerging markets where Pesa is already a recognized name/brand.

EXACTLY for example People in Kenya(mostly women) form social lending groups called Chamas that lend each other Pesa(Money) in a merry go round format without interest.

M-Pesa which is a centralized digital currency pegged on the Kenya shilling is the usual medium of exchange.

These Chamas already contribute billions of dollars every year to the Kenyan economy. However there are still problems as Chamas rely on trust within amongst the members and M-Pesa itself is not anonymous.

So I believe a fully implemented Pesa improves on M-Pesa on a global scale.

Not to mention cutting out corrupt middlemen like banks, while effectively lowering transaction costs.

cryptocurrency is also not the solution. and all coins are still too centralized. maybe bitcoin in many years...
a better humanity is a solution Smiley
no wars.. no religious bullshit (at least not the violent part of it)
investing more in science, education, health

not in DAESH

imagine how many space stations we could build, instead of all the tanks, rifles, cannons..

not hashing, folding and curing (check FLDC merged-folding! reuse good GPUs)

Only because there aren't enough users yet.  Global usage will make PoS coins more decentralized.  According to some theories, bitcoin is probably going to get more centralized as it matures.

do you think altcoins can be traded with fiat without need to be traded with bitcoin ?
and also altcoins for goods ?

anyway corruption is because of the people who work for the Bank, not the Bank Smiley
