Hello all,

My SP10 needs a new owner as I'm running out of power. This unit was the first they ever shipped and so holds some historical value - hence I'd prefer a home that will take care of it. That means the unit is from the original 'fast corner' chip batch which performs slightly better. Warranty, if any, will be provided directly by Spondoolies Tech.

Shipping is from the UK. Total price is base price + shipping + tax (if applicable). See below.

Base Price: BTC 3.5

UK non business      : = 0.7 tax, free shipping = 4.2
UK VAT reg business: = 0.7 tax, free shipping = 4.2

EU non business      : = 0.76 tax, 0.3 shipping = 4.56
EU VAT reg business: = 0.0 tax,   0.3 shipping = 3.8

US                          : = 0.0 tax, 0.35 shipping = 3.85

If you were to swap face to face, would you wave the tax? or are you a registered business that has to pay VAT?

Private sales within EU is taxfree.
I assume since you apply tax you´re a registered business with VAT number?
Did you pay anything for your review unit? Do you have the receipt from Spoondoolies?

A VAT number that ca be checked would be nice.
Otherwise its just a method to up the price for the end user.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg5783722#msg5783722 is the first unit they ever shipped. Just to be clear its from the first test batch of ~14 machines they made to test the software and kept internally. It could be the first they ever made but its not verifiable.

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3842/14448326444_a4cb8058c3_o.jpg

If we are to interpret the SN, it appears the unit was #5 potentially.

Ps, I also forgot to mention in the OP that I'm missing a few screws from the external casing holding the lid down. I can't find them anywhere, but if I do while packing I'll obviously put them in. It makes no difference to anything though, the lid is well secured.

Yeah, although there are 2 ASIC boards per control board and unit, and so its still  ~5.

I can also vouch for it's legitamacy.  I am in regular contact with Guy and Gadi of Spondoolies-Tech.  They made sure to get it to Dogie first as he is the preeminent hardware person in the community.

The value of this isn't as much for the hash rate as it is for the historical significance.

And why is that? Because dogie put the term "1st..in the world"?

It is part of the first 5 ever manufactured. That gives it significance to collectors.

Did you pay for it Dogie? Or get it FOC so you could review it and prove legitimacy?

Would be a lot better if you had a certificate or something from Spondoolies to go with the miner..
I think it's kind of a joke.asking more for very first.units, as they aren't like.coins and other collector items. All they are is hardware that has seen the most use/stress tests.. why would you pay extra for that?? Huh

I'm addicted to hashpower and horsepower.

It's also been pulled apart and is now missing screws, nullifying any random value added.to it for being a first run unit.. IMO

frustrates the shit out of me why people feel the need to jump in a sale/auction thread then attempt to rip it to bits when they have no intention of buying the goods on offer.

If your not interested dont comment, simple.

Truth usually is unpleasant for most. Plus I'm always interested in some Spond. miners, and fully respect what dogie has done for the.community, but, imo, I feel like this is abusing the status he has gained.. he himself cannot confirm that it was the first ever built yet claims it in the title..

And to be fair dogie, if you drop your price to around $1/GH I will make an offer. A reasonable offer for one of the most used SP10's on the planet earth, that is missing some screws.

Huh I'm not claiming that at all. I'm claiming it is the first unit they shipped, not the first unit they built. That I proved, the talk about serial numbers went OT.

For someone with such a high post count you sure seem a bit naive. You think we should just take Dogie at his word and accept the price he offers or should we as buyers try and beat the price down as low as we can, we arent asking unreasonable questions. Most the questions asked so far are relevant to the sale.

I'm curious what Dogie's VAT registration number is if he is selling with VAT listed separately. I want to be sure as a VAT registered buyer that I am getting charged for Vat legitimately.

Same goes for the price he paid, is he profiteering on this forum or is he asking a fair price? Given that SP10's can be bought new for less than he is asking I think that's a legit direction of inquiry.

Both have been answered before.

1) Buyer will be provided with a VAT invoice
2) If you want to buy cheaper, go buy cheaper. The unit is currently reserved for someone for ~11 hours.

They can verify my number, but, again, third time, I'm not going to be spamming my number around the forums where it can be misused. People are already creating dummy accounts pretending to be me.

Re the VAT invoice, thanks for the information, however in this thread it hadn't been mentioned before.

With regards to cheaper, *shrug*, I'm sure you would be trying to knock down the price on a second hand miner to reasonable levels if you were buying.
