Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

it's too bad that the value of the coins keeps falling it is simply not very profitable at all to mine and since so many coins were sold in the IPO no one wants to invest their hahing power on a coin that could get dumped at any time |

I have nothing to show for it. Account balance says 11. something and is frozen. I went to the site mentioned here and mined for 6 hours and have 39.something with the same 14.2 mhs. So it makes me wonder about the 1382 WDC I mined on your site. Should that 1382 be much higher? I am starting to think so... |

Because of the fork of yesterday between version 0.10.0 & 0.10.1, the difficulty is a lot lower today( a lot of pool hasn't upgraded yet). It explain why you are making more VIA today. Edit : I'am watching the VIACOIN thread and I will restart the pool only when the DEV will say it's ok. |
