Once you get at least 16 activity (should take 2, 14 week periods assuming that you post at least a total of 16 posts and 1 post in each period) you can post every 74 seconds
The limits are designed to prevent spam and to prevent people from scamming in mass

BOOM! Does this also apply to limited amount of PMs you can send within an hour?

I would need some tips to get this done as well.
I have been actively posting in this forum, and still the activity doesnt seem to change.
Is there a guidebook, which i can take a look at for this?

it's still better than past time, when newbie jail still implemented you can't post in many sub forums/section 360s delay prevent spam from newbie account post more and your delay will decrease and after reach jr.member (cmiiw), your delay is normal

Just wait it out. Everyone here has to endure the newbie limitations, it's not a big deal. Keep reminding yourself that you will be rewarded when you get to member status.

There used to be only a newbie section. Now, it is removed, I don't see reason why mods would remove the 360 second limit upon request. If they approve of this, the forum would only become a spam place. The 360second limit will lowered. Your activity limit will increase by 14 per two active weeks. Activity change occurs at 30minutes intervals.

i am pretty sure logging in counts as a 'post' as well. so once you login you have to wait 5 minutes to post or send a PM.

Become more established and when your activity reaches 28-30 your time should be something like 70-90 seconds, I doubt there are special considerations and modification of wait time between posts.

It's possible to have it reduced significantly by being whitelisted, though personally I rarely do that on request, better to have someone vouch for you.

Waiting time gets to a decent level at 15 activity, that is, the second two weeks period if the user is active. The waiting time will be 90-15 = 75 seconds, and will lower at each new activity the user gets.

I thought the whitelisting is long gone, but it seems I am wrong. According to the member search page ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist), there are only 4 persons having the "Whitelisted" position.

What would the requirements be to get whitelisted, and what would happen when someone vouches for you? Would this remove the posting limits?

Valid reasons, the person, I think preferably trusted among the forum would guarantee you won't spam up the forum. There isn't posting limits, only posting intervals.

The time limit between posts shortens with the activity increases and is about 30-50 seconds when your activity is +30 and you are a junior member. Just spend a little time on forum and in 2-4 weeks your activity would reach that level.
