I wonder if there is any moderation in this section anymore...
The section has become a trashcan of threads started by 247crypto

He started 9 separate threads in the last two days that cover only one subject (the flight mh17) while we have already two threads on this subject

Further more his threads are pure garbage with one picture or link op and could easily fit as normal posts in the other two.

Is there a way to merge those posts and clean up the sub-forum?

I can't merge topics, but I PM'd him to slow down a bit.

I can't merge topics, but I PM'd him to slow down a bit.

TL;DR
Does it suggest that if this feature were available, it would be used when needed?
If yes, can't wait to see this feature implemented in the new forum.

Extended:
I never thought that mods were currently unable to merge/split threads, infact I was going to ask a similar request for the 6/7 threads about Dell accepting BTC.
It's a waste of time to try to follow the same discussion in so much places.

Furthermore, if you have something interesting to post, you have to select in which thread to post because I think that posting the same message 6/7 times could be considered as SPAM.
In my case, it was an interesting chart about how much Dell is bigger than other companies accepting BTC, but I posted it in just a couple of thread and then stopped (despite the fact that many users didn't seem to be aware of that).
I also had some thoughts on starting my own thread about the chart, but then it would have been the 8th one on the same topic, with me becoming part of the problem!  Cheesy

So, please, add this merge feature ASAP! Smiley

Merge feature is available, but disabled for most. It doesn't really work very well, I generally only use it for threads that are literally dupes, and more than one have good replies.

Splits are enabled and work okay, though it's a pain to use and posts can't be copied between both if it is relevant to the new topic and old.

Oh, I see. I've a bit extrapolated malevolent's answer.

It's a pity that the merge function doesn't work as it should, I think it could be useful in some cases where informations are scattered all over the forums, like perhaps my previous example.

Trying to not extrapolate again, can we at least suppose that, in the case it would work flawlessly and a piece of cake to use, the merge function of the new forum could be used more often than now?
