We have a new website up. http://firecoin.tk/   It is very basic but we will be adding to it as we go along. We are also planning on doing a weekly 50/50 raffle. 50 will go to the winner of the raffle and the other 50 will go to site maintenance and other improvements for firecoin. Our hope is that if this is popular we will also include a bonus gift with the 50% of Firecoin. Stay tuned for more info

Regarding the FireCoin website:

- I will be adding more content and tweaking the design throughout the next week.
- I have completed most of the front-page. Let me know what you think
- I ended up creating the logo at the top of the website as well. If you can do better or don't like it, feel free to send me new ones.
- If anyone in the community has experience with websites, get in contact with myself or tom14cat14, as we will want to have some community editors to add/edit content as time goes on.

I am working on this completely on my own time and without any sort of payment.
If you would like to donate FireCoin to me, that would be greatly appreciated Smiley

Looks good. Keep up the good work. Thanks for donating your time for this coin. I just wish the rest of the community would show a little more support. We are bringing a coin back from the dead and yet the majority of holders have not said a word here.

Bittrex FIRE-BTC market looks quite active. Looks like some traders trying to hoard what FIRE they can. Only 97K FIRE and only 1% interest. Hard to see the market price going down at all..

Bittrex FIRE-BTC market looks quite active. Looks like some traders trying to hoard what FIRE they can. Only 97K FIRE and only 1% interest. Hard to see the market price going down at all..

Thats my thought. Very low downside risk.

I got me some FIRE earlier from a recommendation of a friend.

Seems like a really rare coin with original PoW only producing 97,000 coins and only 1% interest. That is hard to dump to, especially considering the original dev dumped and left the coin immediately. I like the new momentum behind this. The FireCoin 2.0 re-branding is good. You should push it even further and push this low % stake coin to the next level. It has lots of potential.

We agree and we are working hard on many new things for this coin. Glad to have you here and please tell your friends. We are trying to win back the trust of investor's that we are not like the Old developer.

I've been consumed reviving Firecoin's fraternal twin sibling Techcoin, so I haven't had much time to visit here, but I'll chime in.   Grin

I'm excited to see the coin's renewed interest - it'll take time to spread the word and get people back on board, but I think there's a huge potential for upside on this coin, and it's actually a blessing in disguise that the bottom dropped out of the market because it's far more accessible now than if it were a huge success right from the start.  I would only have 15 FIRE if they went up from the point I originally purchased, and I'm sure they'll be back at that price & higher in short order.

I heard a suggestion a while back about doing a charity donation thing tied in with fire-fighters - once this coin is back to being worth what it should be, I'm sure we'll have some generous philanthropists hanging around and it shouldn't be too hard to find some national charity in a few countries / regions...  Would give the coin's name a positive spin in the crypto-media, and given the potential of the coin, and the potential size of the charitable donation, it could gather a bunch of positive mainstream media attention for crypto-currency, especially FireCoin!

Still getting plenty of blocks, happy staking!

Glad to have you Smiley
Your not too late, I didn't start until the new dev came along offered new momentum.
If a faucet doesn't get filled or go back online soon, I will look into setting up an additional FireCoin faucet on my website.

I believe I know the faucet operator. I will get ahold of him and see what his plans are. Last time I talked to him, he seemed quite happy with FireCoin and the new team behind it  Grin

This issue was just recently brought to my attention:

When staking FireCoin's, they will not be in your available balance, such as when you run the "getbalance" command.

This is 100% normal, as the coins being staked for 1% interest will be locked and unspendable until the block you are staking gets 60 confirmations. At that point, they balance along with the extra interest goes back into your available balance and is again viewable running the "getbalance" command.

If you want to prevent your coins from becoming unusable because your running a script/game or something else, then I would suggest running your wallet/daemon with the following switch/flag:

-reservebalance=9999999

This will cause your wallet to reserve and make available up to 9999999 coins, effectively preventing any coins from staking.

Hope this helps Smiley
