Hi guy's

I'm having issues with version 2.1.0.0 wallet similar to micky123. I tried deleting the peers.dat file with no luck. I seen that he got help in irc to run a command in console, but it was not posted here. Does anyone know the fix? The wallet just sits with no connection for days. I tried reboots and wallet restarts.

Thanks in advance.

Did you add the .conf file? Some people are having to add this.

Thank you for the .conf data. I created a file and placed it in the wallets folder but no luck. I am seeing a 01, 02 CPU use in my task manager, maybe it just needs time....

Hi,

This worked for me straight away, did you save the file as all files as opposed to a txt file? That could be one reason why its not working. I know that's basic and you may have already checked it, just give it a good once over. Also, did you place the .conf in the roaming folder under your username?

Exit the wallet, kill the process if you need to, then come back and check. Also, ensure that your AV / Firewall is not blocking the Fire client.

Tony,
Do as Mickey mentions in his post. If you save the file as a text file, the wallet will not pickup the addnode data from it. The extension needs to be .conf.

It shouldn't take long, but you may need to exit/re-start the wallet. I did a reboot after adding my conf file and it started a sync before I made it back from the kitchen(2-3 minutes).

Let us know if you get it to sync or are still having issues?

Cheers,
- VR

Still no luck, the .conf file I made is .conf , I double checked in the appdata folder and it is listed as CONF file under the Type tab.  Firecoin is selected as an exception in the firewall.  I also deleted the peers.dat file. Rebooted and opened wallet with no activity in processes. I then downloaded a another qt and did it all again with the .conf file.

Thanks for your help but the only thing left is I'm running 64 bit windows 7. Is a new wallet coming out this week?

Tony,
Sorry was AFK for a while over lunch.  Can you upload your config file somewhere? I'll check it out. I'm running Win 7 64 bit as well. I've had no issues after creating a conf file on my VM.

No new wallet that I'm aware of.

EDIT:  You can always jump into IRC.  There are several of us in chat right now.

Tom,
Welcome back, glad to hear you're alive and doing well.

I haven't heard back from Tony (PM, forum post, or IRC) regarding the issues with his wallet. Might be related to his conf file.

virtualreality69,

Sorry, I have been away from my pc.  I took Gyazo images of both the Firecoin appdata folder, and the .conf file opened from the same folder.
I hope this is what you need, and thanks again for the help

I figured the issue was something like this which is why I wanted to see your config file.

Glad you got it up and running.

I just wanted to let everyone know we are being listed as an option for payment here. https://crypto-auctions.com/#4307aa708684

It is an auction site and it should be set up in the next few hours. Please go list and buy things in Fire. This is a big step forward in using Fire for everyday things.
