I hear he will be there
Im guessing he will be there, if he intends to atleast show a little concern to customers that lost alot of money on his exchange.
I wouldnt be surprised if he gets into some sort of funky situation there, since there are alot of desperate pople who had all of their funds on mt.gox.
I don't understand why people are so fixated on Mark, and wanting to get to talk to him to try to get their coins back.

The unfortunate fact is that the majority of the coins are gone and doing something stupid to Mark is not going to get them back. Mark likely did not personally steal the coins, although his incompetence likely lead to the theft.

Bullshit.

Mark stealing the coins is the simplest, most logical explanation of what happened.
And if he didn't, it's a clear case of criminal negligence.

I guess you'd be thrown out the court room if you attempted to do anything stupid. We have a more or less functioning legal system in most developed countries in the world for a reason!

I still can envisage bandits wearing inu masks coming at him with spud guns and other symbolic weaponry, maybe a horse's head in the bed..

I hear he will be there

I guess there are quite a few people who will want to throw an extra-cold Frappucino in his face  Undecided

I am not promoting violence, but a HOT coffee would send an even stronger message.  Shocked

Throwing anything at his face is assault and could get you arrested. If you were to throw hot coffee in his face he would likely get seriously injured and you would likely end up in jail for a long time.

Ever thought of people who just don't care anymore, though?  Wink
I bet there are people who lost their live's savings on Mt. Gox and thus just seek revenge and don't care what happens to them. Mark's living a dangerous live right now!

This is the first I have heard anything about a "creditor meeting".

Most likely explanation is that the bankruptcy court does not consider you a creditor.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

I believe the correct word is "did"

Mt. Gox isn't around anymore  Tongue

But it seems like quite a few people did keep it in Mt. Gox, since so many people are talking about it like it was the death of them.

It could just be me, though.

Why are people angry with Mark?  There were both cash and Bitcoin withdrawals AFTER the theft was discovered.  Some people got there money out.    This is criminal.  There was even a post on this forum of a guy who went to Japan to the Gox office during the blackout and demanded his coins from Mark and Mark obliged.  No one knows exactly who got their money out and what bank transfers took place during that blackout period.  It seems that in Japan the authorities are completely incompetent.

Back in the 80s they'd dealt with this scenario differently. I guess Mark would've 'disappeared' by now. Maybe he'd be in the cellar of some Starbucks by now.
