A few thoughts for anyone trying to compare Syscoin to Viacoin.  Really there is no comparison, they are simply in a completely different category no matter how you look at them.  Here is why:

While both Viacoin and Syscoin had a presale, Syscoin has an additional developer premine on top (coins just allocated to themselves at the beginning). A developer premine is dangerous to the market because there is no base price considerations for them. Any sell at any price is a profit. Look at what happened to Ripple prices when a developer decided to cash out. 2% of 2bn coins is not something to sniff at.

Viacoin already has decentralized markets, ability to issue tokens, assets, stock, shares and pay dividends. Syscoin still has the markets in development.

Syscoin is based on old litecoin codebase, Viacoin is based on the latest Bitcoin Core and keeps up to date with Bitcoin Core source. This makes Viacoin the most modern and up to date of all coins.

Censorship - Syscoin devs are deleting negative posts, Viacoin leave them in so long as the poster backs up their views and is not repetatively spamming. This leads to healthy discussion of both sides. Viacoin are not avidly trying to defend their reputation but let actions speak louder than words.

Syscoin have openly engaged in attempts to prop up their market using presale funds for "buy support". This is market manipulation and not allowing true price discovery. While crypto markets are unregulate and this practice is not illegal per se, it is illegal in traditional markets because it paints a fake impression of the market.

Crypti is the best investment choice out of these three at this point. Price is still very low (aided by the BTER hack). Once the system goes live and the devs unveil some of the projects they have in the works, price will be going up many times from today's levels.

Truth:

Viacoin is a copy and paste exercise modifying opreturn to use 80 bytes instead of 40 in bitcoin core.

Essentially viacoin tries to be what bitcoin is to counterparty (clearinghouse).. just renaming things. There is nothing new in the code.

Syscoin has 40% new code with an active team a bigger team than viacoin so more development going on. Naturally because of the extra code it takes more time testing which is happening now.

Syscoin said they would support buying in the market as community consensus was to do it. This allows to pay devs in syscoin and btc which is desired. It also helps support anyone who wished to get out of their presale positions. Syscoin devs like to listen and react to its community (no btc is yet paid to dev team until all features are tested.

Viacoin actively deletes negative posts and creates fud against syscoin by creating images on twitter and fake accounts on btctalk to fud the thread. Syscoin devs simple are too busy developing snd testing to worry about viacoin trolls. Maybe they feel threatened by presence of syscoin which wasnt meant to be the be all end all bitcoin replacement.. who knows .


Syscoin is compatible with btc ltc base so any security or technical advancements to the base can be simply rolled in without worrying about forking or redeveloping. Its really a no brainer as syscoin is the better investment from a risk reward prospective at these prices.

I feel pretty sorry for you guys and for the hundreds of people affected by recent developments. You should not be surprised at the level of public dissent when things go sour at this scale: times are tough and money is precious to people - of course people will get upset. But please stay professional.

Im just saying the facts to put the guy above me straight in a similar tone whos clearly a via hodler. Thanks for the support but its clear that when you introduce new code it has to go thru a strong regression test that given the time constraints only made sense going live. There was development up until the hour it was released although the core is and was fully functional through the rpc console interface.. Both projects have similarities pros and cons.. there is enough market for both in their own respective niches. gluck!

Well,

Viacoin and Crypti both surpassed their ICO prices near their release and have since receded close to or below the ICO price.

Syscoin has yet to break above the ICO price (except for the few minutes it pumped to 2000+ sats right when it got on Mental).

Crypti and Syscoin have both been plagued by outside problems (Crypti scare and lockdown due to Bter hack, Syscoin in court suing Moolah over stolen funds).

So far I'm most impressed with the developments and transparency of the Crypti and Syscoin dev teams.
Honestly it just makes me uneasy knowing all the money invested in Viacoin through the Via ICO and Clearinghouse ICO is controlled by a single anonymous person as opposed to a team of multiple people with known identities, which in the case of Syscoin is now legally tied to the project through the Moolah lawsuit and in the case of Crypti the payouts to the individual team members are dependent on development progression. Despite my reservations related to the ICO funds I still think there's a ton of potential for Viacoin...

All three of these coins are in a bit of a rut right now in terms of market cap and volume, but I think that is going to change for some of them soon as major updates are on the horizon.

None have a market cap above 300,000 USD right now, and I think all of them deserve to be in the top 20 coins.

Though people are not exactly clamoring for "custom blockchains" = see Nxt Monetary System.

Syscoin has near zero volume and I don't need to know more than that.... VIA yesterday's pump.

You guys might also wonder why NEM, which does precisely nothing right now...
Is worth more than all 3 of these combined... probably NEM gonna crash well under 100 sats.
