Nutball: 'BUSINESSES ARE HIRING AT HISTORIC RATES'

Quote
On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden declared that America's jobs picture is brighter than ever.

"Businesses are hiring at historic rates, with 52 consecutive months of net private sector job growth," said Biden in the newly released report supporting the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 1998, which President Obama signed on Tuesday.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act reauthorization will use a $1.4 billion "job-driven checklist" tool to "ensure that the $17 billion in federal training funds are used more effectively," said a senior White House official. The program will also feature a $25 million Department of Labor award to develop a web-based "skills academy" for adult learners.

Obama and Biden's efforts to cast a positive light on America's jobs outlook, however, may face headwinds with voters. As the New York Times noted, "In fact, part-time jobs accounted for two-thirds of all new jobs in June." What's more, economist Ben Casselman of Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight states, "For the 49th time in 50 months, more jobseekers gave up looking than found work."

Obama and Biden's upbeat economic outlook stands in contrast to the views of voters. According to Gallup, 56% of Americans believe the economy is getting worse, versus just 39% who say it is improving.

Obama departed from the signing of the jobs-training reauthorization for a Democratic fundraising trip in California. The price to attend the reception and take a picture with Obama is $10,000, and it cost $32,400 to be a co-host of the event.

A record number of jobs, yay!

That's right, fire everybody in American who had a 40 hour a week job.  Rehire 2 people to work 20 hour a week jobs so the employer doesn't have to pay for health insurance which is now completely unaffordable since men have to pay for mammograms.

That Biden is a genius.  Makes that Sarah Palin chick look stupid.

For those who missed it, that was a heavy dose of sarcasm and dread. Biden is Sarah without the lipstick.

And pay for health care for tens of thousands of "undocumented workers" (aka illegal aliens) entering our country every day.

LOL this is funny Smiley
I remember Sarah Palin very well, her famous statements and comments was great entertainment not just for Americans but whole world!
I don't know much about Biden but if he really said something like this, in current very bad economic and financial situation, not just in USA but whole world, he should at least fire his politic advisers or maybe leave his boss Obama to talk (it looks Obama is doing better with talks, any way Smiley ).

I thought I'd post this here because it's relevant, the job numbers are definitely being messed with to make those in power look good, in the UK they're declaring certain people 'self-employed' to make it look like unemployment has gone down, you can bet the U.S government is doing something similar, I seem to recall Peter Schiff talking about his and he was pointing out that the jobs people were being hired for were temporary jobs or jobs in the service sector, so things like waitresses, waiters, receptionists.

Its never a good sign when they start deliberately lying to your face and you are supposed to take their word for it....

This means they either have no idea what is actually going on, or worse, they know what is going on and know it will not be fixed...

Either way I guess  you get the same result but if they don't know whats going on we might be able to get out of this..

They just care about getting re-elected and when things go wrong they'll place blame on the opposition as they always have done, I think if the Republicans get elected chances are the Democrats are going to put all the blame on them once the economy dies and then they'll get another chance.

..Oil field service companies are hiring just about anything that is breathing and can pass a piss test in the Dakotas, Texas, and to a smaller extent, Pennsylvania. Only problem is that the work is outside, it's hard, nasty, dirty, and physically demanding work.......The hours are long, days off few and far between, and the work goes on, rain or shine, heat or cold......Most people in this country simply are net willing to work that hard or long......

Yeah brother, oil leases on private lands. Government for the most part has shut down federal leases and the gulf. Oil patch is succeeding despite the government, even though they will tell you it is because of them. Open Keystone if not too late and get some more real jobs going. EPA not a friend to the oil patch, but you are very correct...a good living can be made their for employees and entrepreneurs.

Our economy needs 2 million new jobs a year just to keep up with the population.
And the recession continues to add to the total demand. Those employment needs from 2006 to the present didn't just zero out every year; the line just kept getting longer.
200,000 part time workers a month isn't even putting a dent in the problem.

So the Feds are going to borrow more money to give their friends again to use our money to create Jobs which the feds will fail to enforce. Yet all of the new jobs will be for minorities and no one will be hired
