Do you ship to Canada?
And I will like to understand a little bit more entropy. I know its to make paper wallet but how can you create a wallet offline? Not sure to totally understand.
Thanks

The little USB device is actually a computer, with a processor, memory, and storage. When you plug it into a printer's USB port (the one used to print photos off of), the computer powers up, grabs a bunch of sources of entropy to create a HUGE random number, then uses that number to generate a private key and bitcoin address. Then it created a JPG image with that key and address on it, along with QR codes, and presents itself as a plain USB drive with a photo on it. Your printer detects a photo, and asks if you want to print. After you print the paper wallet and pull the Entropy out, its memory is cleared and that JPG with your wallet is gone for ever. Only your paper copy remains. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mycelium-entropy#/story

Thanks for the explanation. I do understand this part. The part that I dont understand is how you can create a bitcoin address offline? And be sure that this address doesnt exist already?

The part that I dont understand is how you can create a bitcoin address offline? You take a random number - between 1 and ridiculously large (7.237*10^75 and change) - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Private_key#Range_of_valid_ECDSA_private_keys( Tip: don't 'randomly' choose the number 1.. or probably anything between 1 and a relatively small number, as those are probably in a lookup table somewhere.. you'll want to pick a number somewhere in the ridiculously large range ) That's your private key. Use ECDSA to get the public key. Then you hash that, hash it some more, double-hash that some more for an error correction chunk, concatenate bits together, base-58 encode it, and you've got an address. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Elliptic_Curve_Digital_Signature_Algorithmhttps://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Technical_background_of_version_1_Bitcoin_addresseshttps://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encodingAnd be sure that this address doesnt exist already?
You can't be 100% sure, but let's say I pick up a grain of sand, call it 'mine', and now I drop it from a plane somewhere over land, somewhere in the world, and now you go pick up a grain of sand yourself. What are the odds of you picking up my grain of sand? (7.5*10^18) Now realize that the odds of you generating an address already used by somebody else are even smaller (7.923*10^28). At least, as long as the code is solid

To add to that, the Bitcoin network doesn't care what address you send money to. It doesn't bother verifying if the address is legitimate or exist. The only thing it cares about is that the address you are sending from has a matching signature made by the private key. So when you send to paper, it doesn't care, but when you spend from paper, that's when you use the private key on that paper, and is the only time it cares.

The security sticker on the box is a foil circle on the side, pretty much any pinch on the box (or just general handling) can make a seal look broken. The security seal is an afterthought, entropy is secure without it. To flash the firmware to the latest version (with signature verification) follow these instructions: https://mycelium.com/assets/entropy/me.html#_firmwareTo add a salt (and I don't know why you would not) follow these: https://mycelium.com/assets/entropy/me.html#_saltEdit: The up to 32 byte salt looks like this: e6 db 7a 87 f1 8f 4c 15 05 df 11 7f 77 39 22 32 3f 81 28 ea 77 69 15 21 c8 d5 a2 c7 d9 bc 9a 40 Random sample: https://www.random.org/cgi-bin/randbyte?nbytes=32&format=hand can be generated any way you want... When using a salt Entropy displays it's own entropy on the printed paper wallet allowing you to verify that your salt was included in the entropy for the keys printed (see bottom of image above).

Limited supply remains. If you've been thinking about getting one, you should do so soon. They are almost gone...
