I like this but it would be much better with some kind of distance setting.

I think he's fixed both of these issues, it now uses cdn postal codes and has a distance setting.

Suggestion: use a map (as well as) postcodes. The way you do it now doesn't work anywhere else in the world. The tradebitcoins site doesn't seem to be maintained these days and could use some competition.
